An Ojibwe in the North Country

Medium: Acrylic on canvas, 22x28 inches

Painted in the North country, June 2004.

Collection of Morgan Hrynyk.

When you're an Indian in the north country you feel as if you're in your home and native land, but that can quickly change with the arrival of non native folks carrying their good book, and waving their almighty civilized fingers in any number of kooky directions, shouting and carrying on, running all the indigenous out of the country. Its a very weird experience.
