Rescue No. 1

Medium: Acrylic on canvas, 24x36 inches

Started in Sudbury and finished in Ottawa, 2001

Collection of Michelle Hrynyk

I started this painting in September, 2000, right after the band came back from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Around this time my artistic abilities were quagmired to way beyond the axles. I was like a ship going down. All I managed to paint was the eagle before I lost interest. When I moved to Ottawa in February 2001, a new viewing audience lit a fire under my tail feathers and production soon was back on schedule, this being one of the first to see the light of day. The bird and fish clan symbols cruised in to complete the composition.
